Welcome to My Brand New Blog!

Why am I starting a blog?

I want to share my tips and tricks with anyone who is interested in pastel drawing, and I’d love to welcome more art lovers to my website.

What can you expect?

I’ll talk a lot about pastel drawing from my own experience - materials, techniques, and the things I learn along the way. I do it my way, but as we say in Holland, there are many roads that lead to Rome. So keep checking back regularly!

I’m going to try to write at least one blog a month, and I need your help with that.

What do you want to read?

Do you have questions? Subjects you’d like me to cover? Let me know in the comments or send me a message!

For whom am I blogging?

For whom am I blogging?
For everyone, from young to old. Whether you’re curious about my work, want to learn more about pastels, or have never drawn before - you’re welcome here.

Topics on my list already (I love lists!):

• Materials - what do you really need?
• How to begin
• Tracing - cheating or a smart tool?
• How to keep sharp points on pastel pencils
• Framing your work
• Working clean
• Expositions
• Do you need talent to draw? (spoiler: everyone can learn!)
• The importance of a watermark

I hope with your help this list will become much longer. And if you have any blogging tips - not too difficult please, because I WANT TO DRAW - I’d love to hear them
