My latest pastel pencil commission, Lupo, is finally completed! Measuring 45x45 cm, this black curly-haired dog was one of my most challenging subjects so far — the reference photo was quite difficult, but with patience and many layers, he slowly came to life.
Heike from Germany came to pick up the portrait herself, as it’s a special birthday gift for her friend. My husband filmed the heartwarming moment of the handover — she was so happy with it, which made all the hard work worth it 💕
Now I’m looking forward to the final reveal when the birthday girl receives her surprise!
